The Voice of the Plantation People Organization in collaboration with "Sigaram" District Women's Federation marked International Women's Day (under the name of Malaiyaha Women's Day) under the theme "By ensuring the land rights, let's build the overall development of Malaiyaha (hill country) women''.
The event started with a walk. Afterwards, speakers spoke about the problems faced by Malaiyaha women of the southern province and also put forward their recommendations before government officials and civil society organizations. Heroic women, who are pioneers of society, were also commemorated at the event.
