Celebrating Thai Pongal: A Unifying Event at Thalangaha Estate Shed

On the vibrant morning of January 14, 2024, a joyous Thai Pongal celebration unfolded at the Thalangaha Estate Shed in the picturesque Galle District. Hosted by the esteemed “Mel Maruvaththur Arulmigu Athiparashakthi Siththar Peedam,” the event aimed to foster reconciliation and community harmony amongst the Estate Management, workers, and well-wishers. The Voice of the Plantation People Organization [VOPP] received a gracious invitation to partake in this significant occasion.
